Why Support the Arts?
Each year donors to the United Arts Appeal provide critical funding to arts organizations and artists in Chautauqua County, helping to enliven both the spirit and the economy of the region.
 
The United Arts Appeal donates a portion of its annual campaign funds for artistic projects or artist development that benefit the cultural life of the county. In addition to Projects Pool funding for individual artists and smaller organizations, the United Arts Appeal provides operating support to six not-for-profit arts organizations.

Supporting the Arts creates a competitive advantage for Chautauqua County. The Arts
  • Contribute substantially to the economic well-being of our community
  • Bring visitors from outside Chautauqua County
  • Have a multiplier or "ripple" effect, increasing by two and a half times the impact of both direct and indirect arts spending
  • Benefit local restaurants, lodging, and retailers
  • Generate thousands of dollars for local and state governments
  • Mean hundreds of events and cultural offerings that thousands enjoy

  • Improve students' academic performance

The United Arts Appeal (UAA) gratefully recognizes its contributors on the BRAVO! page of this web site.


In appreciation for their generous support, the United Arts Appeal offers the following benefits for individual and business contributors:


Friends - Up to $99 

are named with their level of contribution in the printed programs of the events that each of the United Arts Appeal member organizations offers and are recognized on the United Arts Appeal's website  as well as the websites of all UAA member organizations.


Supporters - $100-$249 

receive all the benefits of Friends, PLUS

their name and level of contribution on display at performances / presentations by all United Arts Appeal member organizations.


Donors - $250-$499

receive all the benefits of Supporters, PLUS

6 Free Admissions to movies of their choosing at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center and recognition in at least two news releases sent to media outlets throughout Chautauqua County.


Special Gifts - $500 - $999

receive all the benefits of Donors, PLUS

4 Free Admissions to a selected event of their choosing.


Patrons - $1,000 - $2,499

receive all the benefits of Special Gifts, PLUS

upgrade to 10 Free Admissions to a selected event of their choosing OR 4 Free Admissions to Two selected events of their choosing.


Benefactors - $2,500 and more

receive all the benefits of Patrons, PLUS

upgrade to 10 Free Admissions to Two or 4 Free Admissions to Four selected events of their choosing.
